Creator and CEO of GenZPlay
Steve Calhoun is the creator and founder of GenZPlay. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with a degree in Architecture and lifelong a passion for gaming, sports and technology, Steve is now raising his 3-year old son, Alex. Seeking a healthful integration for children and technology, Alex has inspired him to make outdoor interactive gaming a reality, contributing a viable solution to the many health problems faced by today’s children.
Julie is an expert in user experience design and testing, product management, and game design. Julie combines her background in technology with her passions for wellness, fitness, positive psychology, and behavioral economics to build mobile and web-based products and games to help people live more healthfully and happily. Julie has run 15 marathons, coaches runners around the world of all ages, and has a Wharton MBA.

Don Lewis is a writer and filmmaker from Northern California. He’s earned a BA in screenwriting from Cal State Northridge and a Master in Cinema Studies from San Francisco State. After a long career in various management roles at several Boys & Girls Clubs, he’s dedicated himself full-time to filmmaking and writing for film, games and whatever else lands on his desk. In his spare time he enjoys film, music, Giants baseball, microbrews and BBQ.
Jason Burrill is a nationally ranked snowboarder with many awards including USASA National Snowboarder-Cross champion and a USASA Giant Slalom champion. Earning his degree in Biology, Jason’s passion for coaching children in Nordic and Alpine skiing and extensive athletic experience, gives him incredible passion and insight to the creation of outdoor interactive apps.
Social Media Specialist
Kaitlyn Pintor is a social media strategist with a background in marketing and communication in many arenas including technology and health. Combining her passion for personal transformation and creative marketing skills, Kaitlyn is committed to create a tribe comprised of families who desire to connect, play together, and thrive. She loves walking trails with her teens and providing equine-facilitated trainings for women and teenagers at a local rescue stable.
Michelle Piontek is an experienced graphic designer, with comprehensive skills in development, creation and production of high quality digital artwork. Working in a wide range of creative environments, winning several awards, including a Colorado American Marketing Association, 2013 Gold Peak Award. She continually seeks opportunities for growth and inspiration, including spending time with her greatest muse, her 4-year old daughter Kara.
Health & Fitness Adviser
The most decorated American Downhill and Super G skier in history. Daron won 12 World Cup races, had 28 World Cup podiums, 7 US National Titles, is the 2001 World Champion in Super G, Silver medal at the 2005 Worlds in DH and Bronze medal in GS. He was the winner of the legendary Hahnenkamm Downhill in 2003 and SG in 2004 along with 7 podium finishes in Kitzbuhel over 5 years.
Now ski cross is the competition of his choice. In 2008 Daron took the win in Skier X at Winter X Games 12. Daron has created the Rahlves’ Banzai Tour. One of the most challenging ski races in the world. 4 stops at 4 of Lake Tahoe’s premier resorts for incredible ski and snowboard action on off-piste natural terrain. Daron has 2 children that are enjoying the Big Cat Race.
Dr. John Emery

As successful as his San Francisco medical practice became, John Emery has never been defined simply by his surgery. He is a vitally active man with an enormous list of physical achievements, starting with a 1964 Olympic gold medal as a member of the Canadian four-man bobsled team.
He is a pilot, and has competed in the Tevis Cup, a 100-mile-in-one-day horse race over the Sierra. He’s run the Boston Marathon, swum both the Escape from Alcatraz and across San Francisco Bay. He’s done the Hawaii Ironman, done marathons on skis, ridden a double century bike ride (“I forgot to take water with me, I got a little dehydrated”), and has run the Dipsea and the Double Dipsea, from Mill Valley to Stinson Beach and back over the spine of Mt. Tamalpais.
Alex Wall has been a multi-instrumentalist and recording artist for over 30 years and has written, recorded and produced eight solo vocal albums, four solo ambient albums, and several other albums with various bands and artist–all available at iTunes and over 50 other distributors internationally. He is also a blogger, freelance and fiction writer. His other interests range from philosophy to quantum mechanics. Alex enjoys cooking healthy meals, daily long distance walking and biking, and playing with his young niece and nephew.
Dr. Adam Karns, MD
Dr. Adam Karns, MD, has a medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School. He has been a practicing internal medicine doctor in Beverly Hills, since 1994. Contributing medical and well-being expertise to the team, Dr. Adam has the desire to create apps that promote good health, to help solve children’s medical issues, such as obesity and diabetes.
